Discount bar stools are easy to find if you know where to look. For an overview of the best places to find hot deals on bar stools, keep reading.
Wal-Mart
Wal-Mart sells two styles of discount bar stools. The first is a basic, folding, plastic and metal stool that’s equipped with metal legs and a round, vinyl cushion top available in a wide variety of colors.
These stools sell for about $9.99 and though basic, aren’t designed for everyday use. The second is a standard wooden stool in a basic oak stain that sells for $15.99 per stool.
The folding metal discount bar stools may not be the most attractive seating in the world, but they’re great for guest seating.
Because they fold up, they’re easy to storage and can be easily kept hanging on a hook in the garage, waiting for that next bar-b-que or big family gathering.
Wal-Mart’s oak-stained wood stools are fairly basic and fine for everyday use. Most come pre-assembled and they’re great for use at the breakfast bar or to use at a worktable in the garage.
Overstock
Unfortunately, Overstock.com has a constantly changing stock list. However, they typically list about 100-120 different kinds of discount bar stools available for sale at any time. Many of their models are under $100, but you won’t find much in the less than $20 range.
It’s a great store if you’re looking for discounts and deals on higher-end bar stools, but not the best resource for really low-priced (under $20) items.
Target
Most of Target’s bar stools range in price from about $60 to $250, which is hardly a “discount.” However, the popular retailer does sell several models of discount bar stools for $29.99. They’re a basic, 30-inch, wooden bar stool available in a range of stains from dark cherry to a natural oak.
These aren’t sold at every location, so you’ll need to check their website at Target.com to see if they’re available at your store or sold online.
Ikea
Ikea makes 4 different affordable bar stools for under $20. First, there’s the Oddvar bar stool which is a steal at $12.99, but you have to stain the wood yourself as this wooden bar stool comes without a stain or finish.
Next up is the Sune bar stool, a contemporary and minimalist metal bar stool that sells for $17.99. The Franklin is a popular, folding bar stool that has a backrest and sells for $19.99. Finally, the Anssi is another model with a backrest, but it doesn’t fold and it sells for $14.99.
The Franklin stool is one of the best discount bar stools if you’re looking for something that’s stylish, but also portable and easy to store.
